For more than three decades, CVC’s co-founder has written the words used by many of the globe’s leading executives and overseen the development of their company’s Business Stories and eLearning tools.  She is former Chair of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.   Marilyn received the Governor’s highest award in recognition of her “wisdom in counsel and inspiration in leadership”.  The BBB of Northern Indiana named Marilyn its “Individual of Integrity”.  The Indiana Chamber of Commerce named Marilyn “Indiana Business Leader of the Year”.

Bill Townsend, President

Bill is CVC’s original Business Storyteller since co-founding the company in 1981. He draws from an award-winning 10-year career in television news to help CVC clients develop winning strategies for marketing and training.  Even the U.S. President gave one of Bill’s training programs two thumbs up while screening it on Air Force One!  Bill has a heart for the least and less fortunate, investing his free time to work with the homeless, the jail chaplaincy, and low-performing school children.  

Julie Townsend, MBA -Sr. VP of Business Development & Management

financial industry and higher education, Julie joined CVC Communications, where she first led the company's virtual teams. As Senior Vice President, she enjoys using her experience in education and business to help clients find a better way to train employees and sales and service networks. She earned her MBA from the University of Saint Francis in 2012 with a 4.0 GPA, and was selected for the prestigious "Forty Under 40" award. A lifelong learner herself, she co-founded in 2011 and actively leads an annual service immersion trip to Chile.

Laura Vachon, VP of Instructional Design

of all of our Instructional Designers.  She has served our clients as the Lead Designer of the 150+ online courses for Armstrong International, the multi-course series for SIRVA, MASCO and Newmar, and professional development for K12 educators.  Laura is the trusted guide for your Subject Matter Experts in course development as she perfectly employs CVC’s proprietary StorySaver© process. When she isn't busy with client work, Laura makes time with her family either by traveling, downhill skiing or kayaking. She also enjoys singing with her church band and volunteering with a local cancer organization.

Jill Eder, CPA, CFE, MBA - Chief Financial Officer 

financial management of the company, bringing over 30 years of experience to the position.  Jill is a CPA, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and earned her MBA with an Accounting Specialization from Indiana Wesleyan University.  In addition to her work experience, Jill has instructed college courses that have included Managerial Accounting, Federal Taxation, and Accounting with QuickBooks.  Jill is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  Outside of the office, Jill enjoys spending time with family as well as playing tennis, boating and kayaking.
